Responsibilities

Summary - The primary role of this position is to identify leads and create business relations with prospective and existing customers to grow the aftersales parts business. Recruit and manage a team of parts sales representatives. Parts managers should have a basic mechanical understanding and the ability to identify by sight and name the parts of an industry-related piece of equipment. The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:

 

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain relationships with current and potential customers via phone calls and in-person meetings
  • Maintain records of parts sales leads and customer accounts
  • Set sales targets and provide support to your team to meet them
  • Market research to provide insight to team and higher management
  • Ability to travel, self-start and problem solve
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Attend industry trade shows to identify potential leads and make contact with existing customers
  • Recommend marketing strategies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office, Excel and Power point
  • Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of outside sales and/or management experience in a relevant field
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate good leadership skills
  • Frequent travel, 75%
  • CRM experience

Uses technical and analytical abilities to assure existing work practices are the most efficient and cost-effective possible. Performs root-cause analysis and implements viable, permanent solutions to problems. Works with both internal and external customers to develop solutions that meet company-wide needs and objectives. Applies a sense of urgency to resolve problems or create opportunities that will increase productivity and create value. Shares best practices with other employees across the business.

Accountability: Accepts responsibility and accessibility for both the strategic planning and the successful implementation of all projects, programs, and duties as outlined in this job description. Advises supervisor of concerns, problems, and progress of work in a timely manner.
